Founded in 1928 Frank Haslam Milan's traditional values are still very much a part of what the company is today. Belief in itself and its people has generated a construction company dedicated to public sector housing.
Our desire to extend our skills and breadth of experience has borne a culture of corporate and personal development. Investors in People accredited since 1997, Frank Haslam Milan were amongst the first construction companies to achieve this status. Actively encouraging and supporting our people through training, further education and apprenticeships has resulted in teams of dedicated players.
Our ability to go beyond the bricks and mortar culture has seen us set national standards, receiving government and industry praise and recognition and in the last two years a total of six contracts in Leeds were recognised with Considerate Constructors Awards.
FHM have a track record of delivering public sector housing partnering arrangements with currently 80% of annual turnover delivered via partnering arrangements. Our strategy is to increase that to 100%.
Partnering opens up opportunities to develop longer term strategy’s to support locally targeted community involvement, local supply chain development and mentoring and training and employment initiatives such as Ambition:Construction through which 16 of our current full-time Leeds based employees have been recruited.
